FAQ Print

This is what I could think of as of right now.  As things get rolling, I’m sure I’ll be adding to this FAQ.

If I post my story idea on your site, do I run the risk of someone stealing my story?

I can assure you that the summaries here are not stories!  Only you can make it a story.  If you’re not sure, go look at the Examples under ‘How does it work’.  I can assure you, these are not stories.

The following may also sound kind of harsh and even kind of cutting down my own service, but frankly…. ideas are a dime a dozen.  It’s the execution of that idea that matters.  And that’s not always easy as you already know.  It’s also incredibly unique  for each person.

But if you feel uncomfortable about having your story idea available for all registered users, we can keep it private and I can provide feedback in a secure forum that only you can access.  When you go to the Make a Request link (available only to registered users) then you can request this option.

Why is it free?

Because I’m doing this for fun.  I’m also a beginning writer myself so by doing this I develop my own writing and creative skills while at the same time I’m helping someone out.

Can you tell me a again about how the Feedback Forum works?

There is one section set up per submission, or each filled out 'Make a request' form.  Each one can also be secure so that only the registered user can see the information.  In each submissions Feedback Forum section, you will find the original information as provided in the 'Make a request' form and my brainstorming feedback.  In addition, since it is a forum, we can post questions/comments to each other.  If your site is open for all registered users, others can also post comments.

Only registered users can use the 'Make a request' form.

Are there any types of fiction that won't be accepted?

Well, the only thing I can think of is maybe, porn.   I don't think I would be much helpful for porn fiction.  But, if there is an overall plot, I guess it's still possible.  I'd be curious to see if anyone would put something like that forward though.
